The universe as we know it is a simulation. In fact, it’s one of thousands of simulations overseen by Helel, a Shaper in ZeroTime. Each of the previous simulations has failed – eradicated by the Death Horde, the destroyers of universes. But Helel has a plan to succeed in his 144,000th iteration.

He decides the only way to succeed past the end state caused by the Death Horde is to cheat. By twisting reality and introducing unique and powerful avatars (and forcing the premature evolution of humanity), Helel introduces chaos into the simulation, risking a true Armageddon in an attempt to prepare humanity for the coming alien invasion.

With the world recovering from the destruction caused by the Lightbringer’s Sigil, humanity reforms into clustered arcologies. The arrival of the Death Horde is on the horizon, and mankind must prepare for the ultimate enemy.

But their plans are interrupted by the ascension of a new EarthZero enemy: the dwellers in the City of Glass. Determined to wage war on the alliance of Dreamland, the Council of Glass is building an army to take Dreamland’s precious hekatek. With the City of Glass preparing to march, will Dreamland have time to forge the weapons needed to fight the most puissant army in the universe?

As the final showdown between humanity and the Death Horde grows near, the Alliance among the people of EarthZero is tested. An old nemesis arrives in the city of Dreamland, and a series of mysterious murders begin to target key members of the struggle to prepare against the Death Horde. With the creation of the Time Room, Dreamland hopes to give themselves an advantage, but their ruthless enemies from deep space grow ever more ruthless in finding and claiming the Anshadar.

Meanwhile, the VoidSpawn quests througout the myriad instances of possibility for the key to understanding the motives and identity of The One Above, the entity behind the millions of cosmic simulations, of which EarthZero appears to be the key.
